Argyle Stores Roof Replacement & Structural Upgrade

Address:
The Rocks, Sydney
Value:
$7.5 million
Date:
November 2018 - March 2019

Overview

The Argyle Stores was constructed in the early 19th century and has been added to and redeveloped over the years whilst maintaining its heritage significance. The replacement of the roof was required as it was at the end of its life span. The roof was corroded resulting in numerous leaks into the building and damaging significant heritage fabric such as internal structural timbers. Other areas of the heritage fabric required repair including windows, doors and sandstone.

Challenges

TPS was engaged by Place Management NSW to co-ordinate the development of design, programming and produce costing for budgeting purposes.

Highlights

A highlight worth mentioning was facilitating the development off a clear suite of documentation that broke down the work into stages that was easy to follow.
